Famed artist Ghoulish Gary Pullin has posted a blog post that details his thought process that led him to create that amazing cover art for the upcoming Re-Animator vinyl OST, which is set to come out on July 30th via Waxword Records. If you head on over here, you can read through it and see some cool images. It’s well worth checking out as it delves a bit into the head of a horror artist working with a genre classic.
In the blog post, Pullin states, “I knew I wanted to do something completely different than what had been created for the film in the past. The original illustrated poster for Re-Animator has always been a big inspiration. It’s a perfectly painted image and who can forget the tagline, “Herbert West has a good head on his shoulders… and another one on his desk.“
