A few very special readers have pointed out a glaring omission in our E3 coverage. Earlier this week, Square Enix and Disney revealed their latest collaboration, the long requested Kingdom Hearts III. It was perhaps one of the more surprising reveals that came out of Sony’s media briefing, and that’s saying something. Kingdom Hearts III launches on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, but we probably won’t be seeing it for some time.
After the announcement, director Tetsuya Nomura said he felt they revealed the game “too early,” based on where it is in development right now, but they made the decision to show it due to growing pressure from fans. “Many fans were feeling impatient due to our continuous releases of spin-off titles, so we decided to announce it at the same time as Final Fantasy XV.” Trailer after the jump.
