I could only make it through the first episodes of Netflix’s “Hemlock Grove,” despite the fact that I left the set of the show intrigued and dying to see it. So hopefully by the time Season 2 rolls around they’ll have found a way to integrate the disparate components of the universe into a more satisfying narrative.

Showrunner Charles H. (Chic) Eglee (“The Walking Dead,” “Dexter,” “The Shield”) joins the series as executive producer in season two. Eli Roth is still on as an executive producer adding, “Netflix members loved the potent combination of sexy monsters, mystery, and the dark family soap opera that ended with a huge twist, leaving audiences worldwide totally shocked. Season One was just a warm up for what we have in store for season two. Get ready to be scared in ways you never expected.

Hopefully Eglee guy can tame this messy beast.

The series stars Famke Janssen (X-Men), Bill Skarsgård, Landon Liboiron (“Terra Nova”), Freya Tingley, and Dougray Scott (Mission Impossible II). The second season will consist of 10 episodes that will go into production later this year. The sophomore season of “Hemlock Grove” will premiere in 2014.

Fuck. It’s time like this I wish I had Netflix :( Looks like a really cool show, and I don’t mind supporting Eli Roth every now and then.

My opinion; you aren’t missing much. I couldn’t really get into it for it just didn’t grab me.

I almost dove out after a couple of episodes, but I stuck with it (mainly because Lily Taylor has such a good track record of starring in quality programming). I enjoyed it but it didn’t send me over the moon like season 1 of AHS. I’m suprised they’re doing a second season of Hemlock Grove because they pretty much tied it in a bow at the end. I guess it did well for Netflix.

Evan, i could only make it through 2 eps before i lost interest. i’ve been wanting to give it another go and knowing a 2nd season is forthcoming i guess i now have more incentive to try again.

I guess you really can’t judge the show unless you actually finish it. It got better as the show went on in my opinion. If you still don’t like it then sue me. If you don’t have much expectations then you will be pleasantly surprised.

that was my opinion too, until the final eps. At first it was really hard to get into, but when i watched episode 4 to 8 i was hooked, really enjoying that show. Then i watched 9-13 and it became boring again, that romance is annoying as hell, i just lost interest on Hemlock Grove, i don’t care for a second season.

I actually really enjoyed the show…I didn’t think I’d care for it at first but somehow I got into it and I’m excited to see if they can make it better.

ok i watched all the episodes on netflix and i just couldn’t get into . the only character i felt bad for was the sister n only her. the rest was just bland and poor character development n just boring. also i felt they ripped off other shows like teen wolf season 1, true blood, buffy the vampire slayer and smallville. i saw these shows because of the fact they had to look for a killer werewolf that was people. that was from teen wolf season 1, true blood because of (spoiler alert for those who haven’t finished watching) the vampire thing and the making people who what u want by looking into their eyes n messing with their heads. i say smallvile because of the fact u don’t know if the rich kid is good or bad he flip flops back and fourth. also the moms the convos they would have out of nowhere pretty much have u go. oooook what was that about.pretty much i felt nothing about the rest of the cast . i only felt bad for the lil big sister that’s all

  • devilmaycry26

o i mention buffy because of the chic that kills monsters and was in some secret order that hunts down monsters

Some parts of the series were a little too “emo” for me, but around the 8th or 10th episode when the “double murder” took place I really got hooked. Glad there is a second season!

Because you can judge how satisfying the narrative of a show is after watching only one episode.
