It comes out Tuesday? I think my city library pulled a big mistake haha. I already have an official copy of the movie that I picked up this past Tuesday. The special features were good but I wish there was more. They were also pretty short.

that happens. couple of years ago when i used the canadian equivalent of netflix for mailing out dvds, i received a few movies a few days before the release date.

  • Canucklehead

Saw this in the theatre and don’t want to waste 10 minutes watching it again.

  • WolfQueen

I’m just glad pay day falls on the release day! Whoop!

i do like this movie. the problem for me when i first saw it in theaters was that i had seen too much footage, tv spots, trailers, pics, etc, etc, etc. so that when i saw it in the actual theater i felt like had already seen it 5 times. lol. i just re-watched it again, recently (some time has obviously passed since my initial viewing) and i enjoyed it MUCH more on this viewing.

the “Being Mia” bonus feature is my fave. it’s a 9 minute video diary that has Jane Levy (w/ her own video camera?) documenting various points in a day of shooting the movie. pretty cool!

i hope they are planning on a re-release though that has has all the deleted scenes (David & the chainsaw scene)/alternate takes (the “we’re gonna get you” part, for example). even though the five BR only(?) featurettes are decent i’m betting there’s more stuff saved for the eventual complete (hopefully UNRATED) re-release.

They did indeed release potentially too much stuff, but I did oh so enjoy seeing a real R rated legitimate horror for the first time in years in the cinema that wasn’t just a torture porn movie, that wasn’t ‘self referential’ out the wazoo and that was a return to the good old ‘Cabin in the woods’ style movies (No I don’t literally mean “The Cabin in the woods”, though I did love that film dearly!)

      I can’t wait for part 2! :D

  • ThunderDragoon

Can’t wait to own this beauty. :D

  • monkeyofdoom

First 10 minutes were the only good thing about that movie. All the gore in the world won’t save a horror

  • Kroork

Anyone else notice that there was extra footage at the end of that clip that was NOT in the theatrical release

    • ktn

I did. And that’s a scene no one knew about. They probably have 30 min of extra material, counting the extra scenes from the trailers and tv promos and all this stuff we didn’t even know about. Im pretty sure now there’s enough material to release the unrated version.

    • djblack1313

Kroork, i think you’re right. i don’t remember (immediately after Mia pours out the drugs) Olivia mentioning the “3 days. after that the pain subsides…” dialogue at all. is that the part you’re talking about?

      • Kroork

        Yes that’s it.

  • nowaygetreal

Should have just released an uncut version initially… That’s the only way I would buy it. Instead they’re probably going to double dip later on with a “Bonus Footage” version or some crap. Oh well. I did enjoy the movie for what it was.

    • rgold

The extras are disappointing to say the least (very short too). I would just wait for “the double dip” as you put it. They have the footage, why not put together something that the fans are going to get excited about?

  • Kroork

I have heard from someone that has the DVD already that that scene is NOT on it. So I feel like they r just being jerks now… Tempting us with the unseen footage.

  • Skratchy

The first ten minutes? Who cares? That was the worst part!

  • John Marrone

    SOOOOOOOOO forgettable
