[OMFG] Mind-Blowing ‘Gravity’ Trailer Is the Best You’ll See All Year!

GRAVITY

With Gravity, Oscar winner Sandra Bullock returns to the action-thriller subgenre that gave her such an illustrious career.

Warner Bros. just released the Comic-Con trailer for Alfonso Cuaron’s sci-fi thriller that transcends epic. Beyond the extraordinary camera work, it’s rare to see a movie utilize CGI in such a believable and effective way. It’s also haunting.

George Clooney also stars in the heart-pounding thriller that pulls you into the infinite and unforgiving realm of deep space. “Bullock plays Dr. Ryan Stone, a brilliant medical engineer on her first shuttle mission, with veteran astronaut Matt Kowalsky (Clooney). But on a seemingly routine spacewalk, disaster strikes. The shuttle is destroyed, leaving Stone and Kowalsky completely alone—tethered to nothing but each other and spiraling out into the blackness. The deafening silence tells them they have lost any link to Earth…and any chance for rescue. As fear turns to panic, every gulp of air eats away at what little oxygen is left. But the only way home may be to go further out into the terrifying expanse of space.

I know where I’m going to be on October 4…

Super excited for this movie. ‘Children Of Men’ was amazing and I think this will also be fantastic!

this looks intense but how will the 2 astronauts be tethered together when it shows Sandra’s character being violently catapulted like that?

  • DarrelDreadful

Seeing her float out into space like that sent chills down my spine. Holy crap, that would be insane.

  • Mr.Mirage

So, apparently, in space you don’t have time to scream.

Could be very good. I’ll wait until the reviews kick in to see if I’ll watch it in theaters or not.

    DAMN! that was awesome

I thought I read months ago that this flick played a festival and was reviewed terribly, the only thing that happens the entire movie, we just saw here in this trailer, and there is very little dialogue with 2 people floating for the remaining hour and a half. Don’t get me wrong, I am a guy who loved Buried with Reynolds, so I don’t need something happening all the time, just make the movie well. But I did hear that this was played to boos at a festival.

Ah yes, I was wondering whether it would extend to a full feature. Lovely trailer though, beautiful camera-work.
