Exclusive: ‘Curse of Chucky’ Red Band Trailer Will Slice You Into Silence!

Terror returns in a deceptively tiny package when Curse of Chucky , the newest installment of the chilling Child’s Play franchise, comes exclusively to Blu-Ray and DVD on October 8, 2013, from Universal 1440 Entertainment, a production entity of Universal Studios Home Entertainment. Also available on Digital on September 24, 2013, Curse of Chucky reunites franchise creators Don Mancini and David Kirschner as Chucky returns to horrify viewers in an all-new, unrated chapter of the blood-soaked suspense saga.

While we’ve already shared the film’s trailer, we now have your exclusive first look at the red band version that’s jam-packed with gags from ol’ Chuckster’s big return – Child’s Play fans are in for quite the treat! Those of you in Montreal will be the first to see the sequel this Friday at the Fantasia Film Festival!

Written and directed by Mancini, Curse of Chucky finds a family imperiled by the murderous doll that launched a generation’s nightmares – determined to finish a job that was started long ago. The film stars Fiona Dourif (The Master, “True Blood), A Martinez (Longmire,” “General Hospital), Danielle Bisutti (Get Smart, “CSI: Miami) and Brennan Elliott (Flight 93,” Double Jeopardy), with Brad Dourif (The Lord of the Rings) once again providing the voice of Chucky, the homicidal plaything inhabited by the spirit of notorious serial killer Charles Lee Ray.

It includes a Blu-Ray disc, a DVD, and Digital including UltraViolet for the ultimate, complete viewing experience. Additionally, Chucky: The Complete Collection Limited Edition is also available on Blu-ray and DVD on October 8, 2013 in the United States only. Curse of Chucky synopsis: “He’s back! From the filmmakers that brought you Chucky comes the terrifying return of the pint-sized doll possessed by the spirit of a notorious serial killer. When a mysterious package arrives at the house of Nica (Fiona Dourif, “True Blood), she doesn’t give it much thought. However, after her mother’s mysterious death, Nica begins to suspect that the talking, red-haired doll her visiting niece has been playing with may be the key to the ensuing bloodshed and chaos. The return of America’s favorite toy, voiced again by Brad Dourif, is unrated and full of more blood-splattered thrills and chills.

Chucky: The Complete Collection Limited Edition Synopsis: “Set a play date with Chucky as all six movies come together for the first time in the chilling Chucky Complete Collection Limited Edition. He may look different but he’s got that insane cackle. That’s all I need to know that it’s my evil Good Guy!

  • ill_mindedd

    not bad.

  • ThunderDragoon

YES!!!!! I’m so damn excited for this. I can’t even!

  • weresmurf

    That looks GREAT!

You know what, Freddies different look was awful.

    Jasons different look? It worked.

Michaels different look in Halloween 2? It worked… sort of.

    Leatherfaces in each movie varied.

This one I think is finally the variation that seems to work. For me yeah he looks a bit different but he’s still Chucky, he’s meant to be an ugly as sin doll. He still has that laugh, that cackle, that evil side to him. I’m there baby! I’m preordering 😀

So excited to see this! Really hoping there is some kind of cameo or explanation on the whereabouts of Andy Barclay though.

    • Bouncy X

maybe for the end, i can see it now, just as it looks like Chucky’s about to end the movie with a win, a door is kicked down and in comes Andy (played by Alex Vincent? lol) saying something cheesy like “Hey Chucky, wanna play!!”

then bam, fade to black and the wait to Part 7 begins. 😛

      • weresmurf

Well, given the last 2 movies don’t ‘exist’ according to this, that they’re ignoring their existence, this is technically’ part 4.

  • Trioxin83

looks good, but that was the most tame red band trailer ever…

  • m-m-m-MONSTER_KILL

My goodness Mr. D, your name’s on that case almost as prominently as Chucky’s!

  • devilmaycry26

    chucky go his mojo back

  • Melodee

I liked them better as horror comedies!
