First Gameplay Footage Shows ‘The Long Dark’ In Action

Hinterland Studio’s currently hard at work on what they’re calling a survival simulator set during a “quiet apocalypse”. The Long Dark is a true survival game where you can look forward to tracking the calories you’re burning, thirst, hunger, body temperature and more. Unlike a majority of the post-apocalyptic survival games we’re inundated with every year, The Long Dark is beautiful.

It doesn’t rely on a brown and grey color palette to sell the apocalyptic setting, and I’m thankful for that. See it in action after the break.

There’s a little over a week in the game’s Kickstarter campaign, which is still far from its $200,000 goal. Feel free to support it if this is a game you think you could be interested in. I know I am.
