Terrifying ‘Devil’s Due’ Trailer Summons the Antichrist!!

With the poster premiering on Bloody Disgusting this morning, Yahoo! now has the official trailer for Twentieth Century Fox Devil’s Due, starring “Terra Nova’s” Allison Miller and “Friday Night Lights'” Zach Gilford. The footage looks absolutely insane, like we may finally see a birth-themed horror film that takes it all the way (although, I do love me some Basket Case)!

Penned by Lindsay Devlin, “After a mysterious, lost night on their honeymoon, a newlywed couple finds themselves dealing with an earlier-than-planned pregnancy. While recording everything for posterity, the husband begins to notice odd behavior in his wife that they initially write off to nerves, but, as the months pass, it becomes evident that the dark changes to her body and mind have a much more sinister origin.

The film comes from Radio Silence, who collectively delivered the final short on our V/H/S anthology from last year. Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett directed Devil’s Due for the team.

Hoping to capitalize on the success of The Devil Inside‘s beginning of the year release, Devil’s Due will bow in theaters everywhere January 17, 2014.

Unless they filmed separate footage for the trailer like the Paranormal Activity movies, I’m pretty sure they spoiled all the good scares. But still, some of the scenes in there look awesome (probably won’t be as good as Afflicted was).

Blood-Sicles, thanx for the warning. i was going to watch the trailer but i don’t want a lot of things spoiled. i’ll wait until i watch the actual movie. 🙂

I second that, thank you Blood-Sicles. I only wish I got the same warning before watching the VHS2 trailer.

Looks pretty good. I’ll definitely be checking this one out.

Looks above average as far as visual and effects. A lot more action than most POV also which is a plus!

  • Looks like an okay movie, but I’m usually skeptical about movies (especially horror movies) that are released in the January dead zone. And for the love of all things holy, I hope they don’t end the movie with an over the top exorcism scene, because we’ve all seen the same type of scenario about 100,000 times now.

That looks really good, actually. I’ll be watching this.

looks good but then again the trailer for “The devil Inside” made it look like the second coming of the Exorcist. I have been duped especially in the found footage genre with amazing looking trailers that i would swear had to equal a good film and could not believe how bad the actual film was..
I am skeptical of almost all found footage films. To me they are all almost always bad with bad acting and bad dialogue with an hour plus of build up with a payoff that usually lasts seconds.
Im not saying they all suck but i find that most do but then again i know people have different tastes so it could just be me.
