If you’ve stopped by this site even once in the last two months, it’s likely you’re already fully aware of my love for Outlast. It’s an incredibly intense game of hide and seek and easily the most terrifying game of the year. Red Barrels has a gem on their hands, and I’m itching — and dreading — a return to Mount Massive. Today, Red Barrels unveiled an expansion for the game called that will serve as a prequel to the main game.
In Outlast: Whistleblower, you’ll step into the shoes of the person whose anonymous tip led Miles Upshur to investigate Mount Massive asylum. In it, you’ll witness the horrible experimentation and abuse inflicted on the asylum’s inmates that either killed them or transformed them into monsters.
If you haven’t grabbed your copy of Outlast yet, it’s on sale!
