Looks like Christmas won’t be coming early after all, at least not for those who own Dead Rising 3. The game’s first expansion, Operation Broken Eagle, which was supposed to arrive on Dec 24 has been pushed back to late January, so Capcom can add a little polish to it.
Capcom confirmed the delay in an update, saying “Adding new content to the massive open world of Los Perdidos is a major undertaking, and to ensure we provide the best possible experience for players, we are putting a few additional weeks of polish and testing into the episode before it’s released. Stay tuned for additional updates.” I’m glad they’re taking their time with this. I believe it was Shigeru Miyamoto who once said “A delayed game is eventually good, a bad game is bad forever.” Hopefully Dead Rising 3’s first expansion is good.
