The Smashing Pumpkins’ ‘Adore’ Reissue Will Have Five (!!!) Bonus Discs

In a reddit AMA, mastering engineer Howie Weinberg revealed to fans that he is working on the reissue of The Smashing Pumpkins 1998 album Adore and that it will feature five extra discs, one of which will be a DVD (this was later confirmed by Billy Corgan). There is no official release date for this reissue.

Adore was critically acclaimed upon release but initial fan reception was lukewarm. Corgan described the experience as “…really one of the most painful experiences of my life…” [Source].

Although second to “Mellon collie” in my list of top three SP albums, this is the one that cemented the band as quite possibly my favorite band of all time. The album was a masterpiece. I can’t wait to hear some of the unreleased stuff, especially if it’s stuff that didn’t appear in “Rarities and B-sides”.
