The gothic horror roguelike Our Darker Purpose recently made its way to Steam, where anyone who’s brave enough to enter its dark halls can do so for a paltry $10.
This is one of a growing number of Kickstarter successes that have recently come to fruition. If you’ve ever had a doubt about crowd-funding’s place in video games, this is a success story that proves amazing things can come from it. Our Darker Purpose might not have ever seen the light of day had it not been for the generosity of the gaming community, and now, less than a year after its funding campaign ended, we’re able to jump in an enjoy a game that some of us helped produce.
Watch me spend some time with it after the break!
