Kiefer Sutherland Confirms Role In New ‘Mortal Kombat’

We already know there’s another Mortal Kombat in the works, but that doesn’t make this news any less interesting. Apparently, it will star Kiefer Sutherland, the new voice of Snake in the upcoming Metal Gear Solid 5. The news comes from a recent chat with IGN, where the actor said “I did Mortal Kombat, and that’s such a huge game, but it’s so not like [Metal Gear Solid 5].”

Supposedly, this game is planned to release alongside a new film.

What character should he lend his voice to? My guess is he’ll portray himself and, not unlike a Siren, he’ll use his velvety smooth voice to defeat his foes.

I’m really hoping it’s true about the game and movie releasing alongside each other. I would love an R-rated Mortal Kombat movie, but I don’t know what their plans are. As long as it’s nothing like the webseries, I think we’re good. Annihilation was more entertaining.
