First ‘Batman: Arkham Knight’ Footage Evens the Odds

Back in March it was revealed that Arkham Asylum and Arkham City developer Rocksteady would be returning with their final game based on the iconic Caped Crusader with Batman: Arkham Knight, due later this year for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.

Unfortunately, the reveal was entirely comprised of CG. This time around, we’re getting actual gameplay footage, and boy, does this game look pretty. Like, take it out to dinner and a movie, pretty. But no treats, I’ll be requiring a bit more for those.

But by all means, don’t take my word for it, see the game in action below.

Arkham Knight glides through the night air and lands ever-so-gently into your wide open arms on October 14, 2014.

It’s like 10 seconds of ACTUAL gameplay and the rest are cutscenes.

Nowadays, “gameplay footage” means any footage that’s recorded in-game. Everything in that trailer is in-game, none of that CG stuff.

It irks me. Damn abuse of words I say! Now where’s my torch and pitchfork?!

I brought two! let’s get ’em!
