Another ‘Leatherface’ In ‘Texas Chain Saw Massacre’ Prequel?
There could be is NOT multiple actors revving up a chainsaw in Leatherface.
It was reported yesterday that EastEnders‘ Sam Strike was cast as ‘Jackson’, an attractive young boy who will eventually grow up to become Leatherface. Now, TheWrap adds that James Bloor, pictured below, is in final negotiations to play Ike, a budding young maniac who, like Strike’s character, also grows up to potentially wield the iconic chainsaw.
We’re hearing there are multiple actors who play younger versions of Leatherface, and Bloor could be one of them.
We have confirmed that there is only one Leatherface, and that Strike and Bloor are both set up to become the infamous slasher. Only one of them becomes the legend, and that’s Bloor.
Also, we at Bloody Disgusting exclusively reported earlier today that Angela Bettis was cast as Mother Sawyer in the prequel to Tobe Hooper’s 1974 The Texas Chain Saw Massacre.
As we exclusively reported back on Halloween, Julien Maury and Alexandre Bustillo, the duo behind the slasher masterpiece Inside (À l’intérieur), as well as Livide and the forthcoming Among the Living, will be helming Leatherface for Millienum and Lionsgate.
Millennium Films, who was behind the 2013 Texas Chainsaw 3D, is once again producing with Christa Campbell, Lati Grobman and Carl Mazzacone, for Lionsgate.
