New International Trailer For ‘Harbinger Down’

Published

on

It has been a long road for practical effects extravaganza Harbinger Down, the directorial debut of ADI (aka Amalgamated Dynamics) co-founder and Stan Winston protege Alec Gillis.  Along of partner-in-crime Tom Woodruff Jr., the pair set out last year to create an old school creature feature utilizing only practical make-up and animatronic special effects.  After an extremely successful Kickstarter campaign, the project began production early last year and will finally see release on VOD and in select theaters on August 7th, followed by a home video release on September 1st.  Today the film’s Facebook account tossed up a brand new international trailer for the project to help us pass the time.  Enjoy!

Starring genre staple Lance Henriksen, Harbinger Down follows a group of grad students have booked passage on the fishing trawler Harbinger to study the effects of global warming on a pod of Orcas in the Bering Sea. When the ship’s crew dredges up a recently thawed piece of old Soviet space wreckage, things get downright deadly. It seems that the Russians experimented with tardigrades, tiny resilient animals able to withstand the extremes of space radiation. The creatures survived, but not without mutation.
