The makers of Dying Light have found a cheeky way to have some fun at the expense of Destiny developer Bungie, the Internet’s latest enemy, with their own popular drink-based marketing campaign. Both campaigns unlock DLC — the difference is one requires you to go out and spend actual money on what I’m positive is just a blend of caffeine, belly-button lint and a bottle of Sprite you might find sitting in an the basement of an abandoned house, while the other only wants to remind you to drink your eight glasses of water.
With their #DrinkForDLC campaign, Techland is basically kicking Bungie and Activision while they’re down — or as down as two wildly successful companies can get when they’re caught doing something stupid — but they’re doing it in a harmless way that’s entertaining and will result in our getting extra content in Dying Light, so I can’t say that I mind.
The rules are simple. In fact, they’re simple enough that I won’t be redundant in explaining them. If it’s free stuff you want, the image below will tell you everything you need to know.
