Last year, artist Tomasz Strzałkowski formed Telepaths Tree, a new development studio comprised of former Dying Light and Gears of War developers that’s been working to realize a brand new horror game called Inner Chains. The hellish world we see, briefly, in its first teaser trailer wouldn’t be possible without Unreal Engine 4, but good tech can only take a game so far. Strzałkowski’s stunning work carries it the rest of the way.
Inner Chains is a horror FPS set in a dangerous biomechanical world that’s brimming with secrets for us to solve when we aren’t distracted by how amazing it looks. Seriously, look at it.
The game threatens to drop players in a mysterious and unforgiving world made up of mountain ruins, creepy forests, ancient temples and a castle, which may be the environment that’s featured in that teaser. It will do this while offering limited guidance and multiple ways to tackle each situation.
No word on a release date or which platforms it will come to, but it does sound like this is exclusively a single-player experience.
