Before you even ask, no, you can’t pick the BFG 9000. It’s everyone’s favorite weapon, we don’t need a poll to confirm that. We all want a BFG to call our own. Every one of us would risk the slow and agonizing death of prolonged radiation exposure to have a weaponized cuddle buddy with the power of a portable Death Star.
There’s more to the Doom arsenal than its most devastating weapon, and I’m curious to see which one you found the most satisfying to use against the demon hordes.
I hope you guys throw me a curve ball and only vote for the pistol. The Super Shotgun might be my favorite, even though its impressive stopping power would occasionally be a source of mild frustration for me when it transformed the baddie I was looking to stagger into a fine red mist. And yes, I am aware of how silly it is to be disappointed by a shotgun that’s too effective.
Was anyone else surprised by how awesome the Gauss Cannon is? I’m not a fan of guns that take an hour to fire a single shot, but I had a lot of fun with it. Stupid Cacodemons never saw me coming.
