This Incredible New Pennywise Halloween Mask Will Break the Bank

No really. It’s nearly $1,000.

If you’re looking to be Pennywise for Halloween this year, you’ll find several different costumes out there to choose from. They all include masks that leave much to be desired, which is probably why HalloweenCostumes.com decided to step in and offer up something a bit more high quality to fans of the 1990 mini-series.

A new deluxe edition Pennywise mask they just released is as movie-quality as Halloween masks can possibly get. The 100% movie-grade silicone whole-head mask has red synthetic hair attached to it, providing you with everything you need to transform into Pennywise and terrify everyone in town this Halloween.

Crafted from 100% movie-grade silicone, the whole-head mask recreates Pennywise’s sinister visage. Incorporating the demonic entity’s key features like bright red hair, matching nose, and contemptuous frown, the frightening mask has the power to transform wearers into a horror movie legend.

Even though the remake is coming out this year, we went with the classic Tim Curry version from the 1990 miniseries,” Halloween Costumes told us. “This was designed in collaboration with the Hollywood effects artists at Immortal Masks, and it has everything you’d expect from a high-end collectible silicone mask.”

The cost? $899. If you want quality, you’ve gotta pay for it!

Not a very good likeness, is it?

I don’t like the lips. And it’s way too expensive.

    O_o

They need to come down in price. So is this a one size fits all mask? Assuming of course somebody is going to pay $900 and actually wear it. There’s to many things off about it to pay that price, better off painting your face and getting a red wig if ‘Pennywise’ is the desired Halloween costume. In my collection masks are a growing part of it, but this is way too much. Yeah if you want quality you gotta pay for it, but they should’ve just made a life size model for that price. I remember a couple months ago there was a full scale authentic life size ‘Pumpkinhead’ for sale, 9 feet tall and that was $1200 for the ENTIRE thing. Now here is this mask for $900, and it’s just for the mask!

You could make the purchase price back by wearing it while robbing a bank.

  • Gd

for that fucking price it better include tim curry wearing it.

  • J Jett

no offense to whoever made this mask but it looks pretty bad. not a good likeness of Pennywise at all IMO.

  • Trav

Am I the only one who thinks the mask looks good? It for the most part looks like Pennywise from the 1990 miniseries. With that said, I certainly wouldn’t pay $900 for it. That’s way too much.

What a god damn rip off. These idiots are exploiting the charecter to capitalize on it.
I’m sure they will too, lots of people seem to be stupid enough to blow 900 bones on a mask of pennywise.
By the way, it looks like shit.
Steve at devils latex will sell you one for 100 bucks, Canadian.

    • John Marlowe

I love the devil’s latex, but latex masks are trash compared to a really good Silicone Mask.

      • Kevin Nivek Murphy

        Latex rots, silicone doesn’t.

    • SpaceManSpliffz .

googled devils latex cuz of this, was not disappointed. thx for the heads up

  • Big Boss Rogers

Their sick in the head for coming at us will that bullshit!

    • SpaceManSpliffz .

      *They’re

      • Big Boss Rogers

Thanks that’s how pissed I was reading that bullshit haha

  • JeffMc2000

“Movie-grade silicon”. Yeah, sure, that costs $900. Jesus, what a scam.

    • John Marlowe

1 gallon unit of Smooth-On Platinum Silicone costs about $200 alone. Just a pint of the silicone based paint is about $50. Then you factor in the cost of hair and the time it takes to hand punch it into the mask, let alone painting silicone. The profit margin in terms of just materials and the artists that hand-make these masks is not that high.

      • JeffMc2000

It doesn’t take a gallon of silicone or a pint of paint to make one mask.

        • Kevin Nivek Murphy

This is a price point that’s existed for years for full head silicone masks. There are plenty of $60 mexican sweat shop made “latex” masks out there, but if you want a silicone full head mask, you’re paying $800-$1,000 for a quality one. This has been true at least 10 years or so.

  • Jack Derwent

Trick or Treat studios has better-looking masks for under sixty bucks. No idea why this would cost that much.

  • Trav

As I said below, I like the look of the mask. This actually looks like one of the better Pennywise masks I’ve seen. But, do they seriously expect anyone to pay nearly $1,000 for it? Plus, if I’m Bill Skarsgard and the creators of the new movie coming out, I would be a little upset about the new Pennywise not getting his own costume. As scary as Tim Curry’s Pennywise was, the new group is trying to establish Skarsgard’s Pennywise to terrify a new generation.
