The Necronomicon has of course become synonymous with the Evil Dead franchise, but it was H.P. Lovecraft who introduced the world to the fictional “Book of the Dead.”
Lovecraft’s 1924 short “The Hound” first made mention of the book.
All these years later, the Necronomicon has been turned into a fun pop-up book!
Illustrated by Skinner and designed/produced by Poposition Press, the Necronomicon Pop Up Book contains five pop up spreads, each illustrating key moments in seminal H.P. Lovecraft stories. The five stories featured in the book are: The Dunwich Horror, The Shadow Out of Time, The Call of Cthulhu, At The Mountains of Madness and The Colour Out of Space.
Each spread is 11″ x 17″ when opened and includes two pull tabs with text from the original stories, front and rear endleaves and a magnetic clasp.
The standard version, dubbed “Earth Dweller Edition,” is now up for pre-order for $45, while a deluxe “Elder God Edition” can be grabbed for $190.
The books are set to go into production beginning of Q4 2017 with estimated delivery of Q1 2018. Learn more and grab yours on the Necronomicon Pop Up Book website!
