“Lost” Director Jack Bender Isn’t Giving Away The Secrets Of ‘Devolution’

Jack Bender directed 37 episode of “Lost” in addition to several episodes of “Alcatraz”, which means he’s probably picked up more than a thing or two from J.J. Abrams. So it’s no surprise that he’s keeping the plot of his new thriller Devolution, under wraps. All we know is that the film is based on an idea by Max Brooks, the author of “World War Z”, and that the script will be written by Wrath Of The Titans scribe David Leslie Johnson (who also wrote a few “Walking Dead” episodes).

Per The Hollywood Reporter, “Jack Bender, perhaps best known as the preeminent director of ABC’s Lost, is working on Devolution, a thriller he is developing to direct for Legendary. Plot details are being kept lock and key, but the pedigree is all genre. It is based on an original idea by Max Brooks, the author of World War Z, while David Leslie Johnson, who worked on ‘Wrath of the Titans’ is writing the script. Brooks is producing with Legendary, indicating that the author is slowly developing deeper relations with the company.

Fun fact: Bender also directed Child’s Play 3.

[Review] Run For Cover Records ‘Mixed Signals’

Don’t take this the wrong way, but it takes a lot to get me excited. It makes me sound like a horrible music fan, but very rarely am I truly hyped on something enough that I am actually anticipating it’s release. Sure, hearing that one of my favorite bands has got an album in the works is always good news – but most of the time I won’t bother marking my calendar. It might be a bad memory, it might be laziness (or maybe I’m just terminally chill) but most of the time I’ll just end up listening to it whenever I get the chance. However, such was not the case with Run For Cover Record’s newest compilation, Mixed Signals. I was waiting for this baby to drop from the moment I saw Tigers Jaw‘s contribution to the comp was streaming on Run For Cover’s website. And I’ll tell you what, I was not disappointed. I was hyped.
