Linkin Park Release Prometheus-Inspired Video For “Burn It Down”

Linkin Park have released the official music video for “Burn It Down”, which comes off their upcoming album Living Things (out June 26th). The video shows heavy influences from the upcoming Ridley Scott film Prometheus, from the Giger-esque columns surrounding the band to the galaxy hologram that hovers above. Am I crazy in seeing this and making this parallel? It seems like something that Linkin Park would do. Check out the video below and let me know your thoughts. READ MORE

Linkin Park has announced that they will be debuting Burn It Down, the first single off their upcoming, as-of-yet untitled new album, on April 16th. The band will also be releasing snippets of the song in the next few weeks on their website. I’m actually really excited to hear it because I’ve heard that they are going back to an older, more aggressive style. Fingers crossed!
Below is a video of Mike Shinoda announcing this information from the set of the music video shoot. Is it just me or does the background look like something out of Alien? There are some SERIOUS Giger vibes going on!
