Relive Early 2000s First-Person Shooters With The Gory ‘SPRAWL zero’ [Trailer]
June is coming to a close, but if you’re still hankering for this month’s Steam Next Fest goodies, Kwalee and developer MAETH’s throwback first-person cyberpunk shooter SPRAWL zero still has its demo from the event available for you to check out. Inspired by 2000s console FPS games such as Halo, the SPRAWL zero demo contains the frenetic action, gameplay and music you enjoyed from the early days, with plenty of gore thrown in for good measure.
In SPRAWL zero, you play as FIVE, a cybernetically enhanced supersoldier controlled by the Junta. Your directive is to eliminate SILAS, leader of the radical techno-religious group IMAGO-DEI. The city plunges into chaos as all factions known and unknown aim to take control.
Combat is described as fast-paced but grounded, where enemy squads will communicate and coordinate to fight for the advantage. They will flank you, provide covering fire to teammates, and utilize grenades to flush you out in callbacks to those early 2000s shooters.
As a result, you must outsmart and outmaneuver the opposition using any advantage possible. Luckily, you have a few tricks of your own. You can catch their bullets and throw them right back with the Gravity Shield, or bend your shots midair with Bullet-Time for inhuman precision. In all, you’ll have 40 weapons at your disposal.
In addition to Steam, SPRAWL zero is currently in development for the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series.

Phasmophobia: The Board Game adapts the hit video game into a tabletop adventure for 1-4 players. Developed in official collaboration with Kinetic Games and created by Lost In Cult, you’ll equip your team with iconic gear and cursed possessions as you investigate the haunted property.
Build a haunted property, full of unpredictable, randomised items. Then, draw a Ghost Type card from the Investigation File. Each Ghost has its own powers, paired with an evidence pool randomised for each playthrough, offering a terrifying challenge for even the most seasoned ghost hunters.
Using the Ghost Behavior board the ghost’s actions become unpredictable, driven by abilities presenting ever-changing challenges that take a psychological toll. The threat escalates as your sanity deteriorates, giving way to more aggressive and dangerous manifestations. So make sure you prepare before heading inside: equip your team with the best ghost hunting equipment found in your Van.
Venture into the residence to uncover cursed possessions and ghostly phenomena before, at last, arriving at the Ghost Room.
The Deluxe Edition of Phasmophobia: The Board Game will begin shipping out Q4 2026.
