Blizzard has revealed the first TV spot for Diablo III’s upcoming Reaper of Souls expansion, and while it’s almost entirely comprised of bits and pieces from that fantastic opening cinematic they showed off at Gamescom last year, it’s more than enough to get me nice and pumped to return to this game.
In related news, Diablo III recently saw a fairly extensive patch on PC/Mac that improved the loot system in preparation of the impending removal of the Auction House, which should be gone forever on March 18th. The update also added a myriad of other tweaks, including new character stats, the addition of Nephalem Glory (previously a console exclusive), and special yellow globes that offer temporary stat boosts, among other changes. Even before zombies were all the rage, FedEx was ahead of the game when they made this incredible commercial back in 2011.
Created by BBDO Guerrero out of the Philippines, the spot “Zombie Outbreak! TVC” takes place during the undead apocalypse where a group of survivors are trapped in a convenience store with bitten man. Without the antivirus, they’re all fucked. Thankfully, FedEx is on the scene delivering the antidote that will save them, as well as the world.
It’s actually a pretty fantastic commercial. READ MORE
12 years is a damn long time to wait for a sequel. But a game like Diablo and Diablo II people are still playing to this day. But finally coming out on May 15th is Diablo III for the PC and Mac. Past the break you can check out an awesome TV commercial for the game that you may have already seen if you watch TV a lot. Obviously the trailer looks nothing like the game, but it’s still epic and awesome. Enjoy!
Lez b honest here. These video game trailers and commercials are looking so good lately it’s actually making me mad. Because we watch Hollywood time and time again rape our favorite video games. I’m still waiting for confirmation that Nathan Fillion will be playing Nathan Drake in the Uncharted movies. Alas we are stuck with these incredible love action commercials and trailers from video games that look better than the shitty video game movies that get cranked out. Check out the video past the break, if you haven’t already seen the commercial.
I thought we could all celebrate the pretty new site by looking at the pretty Jessica Nigri all covered in blood. Viral videos are in nowadays, and a damn good way to step outside the box in promotion. So what better to promote a video game about slaying zombies than too push your Zom B Gone detergent. It get’s all the nastiness out of your best outfits. Head past the break to check out the commercial for Zom B Gone. READ MORE
It’s a little late now that Christmas is already over, but it’s still the holidays until next Monday!
Below you’ll find a fun holiday commercial from DirecTV that brings Dracula, Freddy Krueger, Jason Voorhees, Chucky, The Mummy, Samara, Hannibal Lecter and Darth Vader(!), and turns them from naughty to nice.
I don’t think I ever want to see Freddy give Jason flowers ever again… READ MORE
I’ve seen a good number of fantastic trailers, but this one takes the cake for really looking like an authentic, near future ad for a potentially evil corporation. This TV spot, which advertises in a very subtle way the long awaited Deus Ex: Human Revolution is so brilliantly made it almost made me want to look up Sarif Industries in the Yellow Pages so I could completely replace my lower half with bionic goodness. Now, don’t take that to mean I have issues down under, It’s all good down there, but I’m not the type of person who would ever turn down a bionic cock.
In a way this trailer reminds me of the teaser for Resident Evil: Apocalypse that was a faux commercial for the Umbrella Corporation. I don’t know how you could’ve missed such a thing, but if you did I’ve included it after the jump. Hell, even if you have seen it it’s worth checking out again. READ MORE
If you ran into DC Douglas while walking down the street you’d recognize him instantly as he’s the voice of one of the best villains of all time, Albert Wesker. It would also seem the guy has a rather incredible sense of humor because Mr. Douglas took time out of undoubtedly busy day to record an advert for Uroboros in the style of the Old Spice ads that have become some insanely popular lately. Watch it and I guarantee the video below will make you a better person.
But that’s not all, oh no sir! After the jump you’ll find an equally as funny outtakes video from Resident Evil 5 that might make you wonder how much better the game would’ve been had Wesker released George Bush into the atmosphere for total global masturbation. That’s the world I want to live in. READ MORE
