Black Sabbath To Be Investigated On CSI

Legendary heavy metal band Black Sabbath will be premiering their first single “End Of The Beginning” on…CSI? Yup! Apparently the band was interested in premiering their track on the hit CBS show and executive producer Don McGill readily agreed. The band will be featured on the show as a concert performance attended by several of the show’s characters.

When we first heard that Black Sabbath was interested in premiering a song on CSI from their first studio album in 35 years, we were all really excited. So many of us are longtime fans,” says McGill.

Fox Searchlight’s Alfred Hitchcock and the Making of Psycho just added another key member to its already impressive cast. Wallace Langham (“CSI”, Jurassic Park) will be joining the prestige pic.

Per Variety, “CSI” star Wallace Langham is in talks to play Saul Bass in Sacha Gervasi’s Fox Searchlight pic. Bass designed the main titles and handled the storyboards for “Psycho” and many of Hitchcock’s other films despite famously clashing with the headstrong helmer.

He joins Jessica Biel (The Tall Man, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2003)Toni Collette (Fright Night 2011),Danny Huston (30 Days Of Night), Michael Stuhlbarg (Lincoln) and Michael Wincott in the film. Wincott will be playing Ed Gein and Biel will be playing Vera Miles.

As previously reported, Anthony Hopkins will play the iconic director, while Helen Mirren will play his wife, Alma. Scarlett Johansson and James D’Arcy are to play Psycho stars Janet Leigh and Anthony Perkins. Gervasi’s pic follows Hitchcock and his struggles during the filmmaking of the horror classic. John McLaughlin penned the script. Ivan Reitman, Joe Medjuck and Tom Pollack will produce through their Montecito Picture Company along with Tom Thayer.
