Review: ‘Five Weapons’ #1

The concept behind Five Weapons #1 reads like male teenage wish-fulfillment 101; boy is drafted into a prestigious school for assassins where he can choose what he’ll specialize in, only he doesn’t have to specialize in anything because his wits are too much for anyone. It’s a pretty juvenile fantasy, but this doesn’t necessarily mean it can’t be executed well. Unfortunately, “Five Weapons” is not executed well, with an irritating protagonist, empty characters and no sense of gravity to its proceedings. READ MORE

Image Comics Sets Up Five Issues About ‘Five Weapons’

Image Comics was teasing a new series called Five Weapons all last week from “Bomb Queen” creator, Jimmie Robinson. Full details on the series have now been released and it sounds like a crazy good time. The series follows the children of the five deadliest assassins on the planet as they attend the prestigious private school of Five Weapons. Kids, weapons, and martial arts, what could possibly go wrong?

Image/Shadowline Teases New Series ‘Five Weapons’ With Teasers From ‘Bomb Queen’ Creator Jimmie Robinson

Image’s Shadowline imprint has begun teasing the new series Five Weapons from “Bomb Queen’s” Jimmie Robinson. The teasers are very reminiscent of “Morning Glories” and definitely have our attention.
