Baptized In Blood Debut To Be Released Digitally Oct. 19th

Canada’s BAPTIZED IN BLOOD are set to storm out of their native Canada and mount a takeover of American metal audiences when they release their self-titled, debut full-length for Roadrunner via digital retailers nationally on October 19. The band will also play alongside A Life Once Lost at the CMJ Music Marathon Metal Sucks Showcase, which will be held October 20 at Club Europa. Baptized in Blood have already turned the discerning head of a metal icon, Megadeth’s Dave Mustaine, who was so impressed that he  has taken on the role of co-manager for the London, Ontario-based band, alongside Mark Adelman.

Additionally, Mike D of Dark Icon Design, who also serves as the bassist for Killswitch Engage, designed the album artwork. While Baptized in Blood may have friends in high places, the band doesn’t rely on those associations; the five-piece delivers the goods with their bottom heavy, unrelenting metallic assault. Baptized in Blood are a classic Roadrunner signing that remains true the label’s long-standing history as the standard bearer of the best in hard rock and metal.

The much anticipated new album, Keepers of The Faith, is a worldwide call to the community and an attempt to hear back from the faithful on the front lines.
Keepers of The Faith is 13 new tracks produced by Chad Gilbert of New Found Glory (A Day To Remember, H2O) at Buzzbomb Studios in Orange County, CA. It was engineered by Paul Miner (Death By Stereo, Adamantium) and mixed by Matt Hyde (Slayer, Hatebreed). Vogel sums it all up, “This is the record we put everything we have into, from the music to the lyrics, the layout to the title and to the direct hand to hand street marketing approach, we are putting it all on the line. We took all the rules of what’s going on in the industry today and washed them from our minds. We wanted to capture those early days of hardcore. This is the record we were destined to make. NEWS BITES: Stone Temple PIlots Done Recording New Album, Aerosmith Looking To Replace Steven Tyler, Hatebreed Postpones First 3 Shows Of Black Procession Tour

Robert DeLeo of Stone Temple Pilots told Spin.com “we just finished the last two songs at my home studio, and we’re going through the editing process and getting everything sounding tasty. A gentleman by the name of Chris Lord-Alge, who actually mixed a song of ours back in early 2000 called ‘All in the Suit That You Wear’, will mix the new album.” The album is due out sometime this year.

TheGlobeAndMail.com caught up with Joe Perry and he had this to say about the future of Aerosmith, “Right now, we’re talking about getting another singer to fill in for Steven. I don’t know what’s going on with him, but as far as Aerosmith goes, we’re going to find somebody to sing.” He also added ” “I think it would make more sense, with a band like Aerosmith, to get somebody who the fans might recognize. There’s no sense going out there and being an Aerosmith clone band. In order for both parties to get something out of this, to move things along musically, it’s important to get somebody who’s a legitimate headliner on their own.”

Hatebreed has announced the first three shows of the Black Procession tour with Machine Head have been postponed due to frontman Jamey Jasta falling ill. These shows will be rescheduled for mid-April time. He had this to say on the matter “I feel terrible to have to miss these first 3 shows but I need this time to heal up to make sure I will be 100%.” READ MORE
