“Curse” continues its descent into small-town madness with another chilling chapter of werewolf mythology. Laney pushes himself to a point of no return. Moreci and Daniel show that compassion is both his greatest strength and weakness. Yet, it is history that becomes the focal point of this stellar second issue. Our past defines us, and that characterization is often impossible to escape. READ MORE

I haven’t read this book so I feel a little out of my wheelhouse in regard to how excite I should be, but Producer Jeff Krelitz and of Quality Transmedia has optioned the screen rights to Image Comics’ Hoax Hunters, per The Hollywood Reporter.
The book centers around “a group of paranormal investigators who debunk mysteries for a TV show called Hoax Hunters. But in reality, the hunters are working hard to cover up and keep the world’s dark forces secret.” It was created by Michael Moreci and Steve Seeley.
It seems like the idea at this point is to find a screenwriter to whip up a script before heading out to a studio to set up the project. Hoax Hunters is intended to be a feature film. Meanwhile, our Comics section has quite a bit of “Hoax Hunters” coverage here!

“Hoax Hunters” scribe Michael Moreci recently ventured into the strange lands of Kickstarter in order to help fund his upcoming project Reincar(Nate). While Kickstarter is home to a bunch of trash and amateurs trying to get some money, it’s also a home to some incredible work from some brilliant comic creators. Fortunately, “Reincar(Nate)” falls in the company of the latter. Moreci and Burns offer a wacky neo-private eye story that follows Nate, who after being shot in the head, gains the ability to see past versions of himself. Issue #1 is a wonderful introduction to a strange and dreamlike sci-fi world that instantly leaves you wanting more. READ MORE

Not sure how to feel about this one. Today i got an e-mail about an upcoming Indy series titled simply as “QUARANTINE” that is set to drop sometime later this year. Not a whole lot is known about the series that revolves around a chemical weapon that is accidentally released into the water supply of a small town causing peculiar and violent behavior in those afflicted except for the fact that it sounds oddly familiar. In any event, writer Michael Moreci announced on his blog that he is giving readers a chance to become immortalized as a zombie for the upcoming series this week. Read on for all the details and the specs.
