Honestly, I’m surprised it took them this long to make the announcement official. For those of you who are wondering why Coheed and Cambria have split ways with bassist Michael Todd, just take a minute to read about his bomb-threat, drug-craving/induced episode here. But in all seriousness, this guy has issues and the last thing any of us should want is for him to hit a downward spiral. Hopefully this situation places him in rehab and allows him an opportunity to get his shit together. The last thing we need is another Amy Winehouse.

Coheed And Cambria bassist Michael Todd was arrested earlier tonight after allegedly robbing a Walgreens reports The Hollywood Reporter. The charge is armed robbery as Michael claimed that he had a bomb and was willing to detonate it if he did not get several bottles of Oxycontin. Once he received the pills, he fled and was arrested at the Comcast Center in Mansfield, MA, where the band was supposed to open up for Soundgarden. But guess what? The band played the show anyways!
