[Random Cool] Pop Artists Get Their Names Written Like Black Metal Logos

I love black metal. I really do. But somebody needs to tell some of these artists that a good chunk of their names are completely illegible. Chicken scrawls do not make for a good band logo, at least in my opinion. But what it CAN do is turn pop artists names into something rather amusing. Below is a great picture that takes eleven well known mainstream pop artists and gives their name the good ole’ black metal chicken scrawl logo treatment. I managed to identify all of them without a problem although one of them did give me a run for my money for a second. Can you guess them all? READ MORE

Alright Soccer Moms, Start Squealing As A New NKOTBSB Album Is In The Works

The New Kids On The Block and Backstreet Boys ‘NKOTBSB’ tour is already selling out all over the country and fans are going completely nuts. And let’s be honest, why shouldn’t they? When it comes to the numbers, both of these groups are at the top of the pop genre, regardless of how long it’s been since they were “popular”. Because of this renewed interest, the two groups are putting out an album that features five fan picked songs from each group AND a track where the two bands will collaborate on a new song, ‘Don’t Turn Out The Lights’. Also on the album will be the mash-up that NKOTBSB has performed a couple of times, most notably on New Years Eve and at the 2010 AMAs.

Tour Dates Announced For New Kids On The Block/Backstreet Boys

Lest we forget about this awesome tour, I’ve got some tour dates that were announced for the upcoming New Kids On The Block/Backstreet Boys run that you can check out after the jump. First announced by Ryan Seacrest on his radio show, the two groups will play a handful of shows in mid-2011. Tickets go on sale starting next Friday. Here are some statements from the two groups:

“It started when we got together at Radio City Music Hall a few months back.  We wanted to do something big for the crowd in NY.  So we got the Backstreet Boys to come down to Radio City and we put together a performance of ‘I Want It That Way’ in about 5 minutes.  It was electric.  Something happened when they came out on stage.  The crowd went to a place that we never heard it go to before,” said the guys of New Kids on the Block live on air with Ryan Seacrest this morning.  ”We started talking, people started talking, and it seemed right.  It’s really just going to be an amazing night of pop music and pop culture.”
“We are blessed.  This is a wonderful opportunity for fans of all— not only New Kids fans, or Backstreet fans, but fans of music.  It’s not about who opens or who closes.  It’s a night of continuous music, hit after hit.  We are going to give people a show to remember.” added the Backstreet Boys.  ”We want to make this a night that people will never forget.  We want to give them something to take them to another place that they’ve never been before.”
Preorders will be HERE.
