If you like free stuff then you’ve come to the right place, because today I’m giving away two codes to download the Resident Evil: Chronicles HD Collection for the PS3. For the unfamiliar, the collection brings with it the Umbrella Chronicles and the Darkside Chronicles, which pit you and a friend–or I suppose you could go it alone, and that’s not pathetic at all–against the Umbrella Corporation’s creations. Now, I know there are people like me who prefer to get free things while investing as little effort as possible, so with that in mind, today’s giveaway is going to be easy peasy. Don’t you just hate it when you’re getting your groove on and some undead assholes come and ruin all the good times? It’s almost as bad as when you have a party and some inconsiderate twat invites a massive Hawaiian dude with long greasy hair cascading down his bulbous shoulders. He rubs up against the guests and ends up eating all my Doritos. Those were my goddamned Doritos, Greg. People have died for less than what you just did. So the Resident Evil Chronicles HD Collection came out at the tail end of last week for the PS3, giving hungry Move owners a much needed reason to dust off their controllers. It includes Resident Evil: Umbrella Chronicles and the Darkside Chronicles for the budget price of $26.99. Check out the launch trailer after the break. It’s a hoot.

Today is a great day to be a horror fan. Better yet, with four Resident Evil games coming out this year, this is a damn good year to be a Resident Evil fan. The Resident Evil: Chronicles HD Collection is available now on the PS3, joining the temporarily Xbox 360 exclusive vampire-themed Dawnguard DLC for Skyrim, so owners of each console have something scary to enjoy today. The Chronicles HD Collection includes the Umbrella Chronicles and The Darkside Chronicles, both of which have been remastered to support HD graphics and the PlayStation Move. If you already own or aren’t interested in one or the other, you can get them separately on July 17th for $14.99 each. Otherwise, you can get this collection for $26.99.

I’m starting to wish I had a Playstation Move. In fact, I’m starting to think about selling my never ever used Wii and getting a Move instead. Remember the Umbrella Chronicles and Darkside Chronicles released on the Wii only? Those are the 2 in this fancy schmancy Resident Evil: Chronicles HD Collection. The 2 games while fully PS Move compatible, are also able to be played with a regular controller. You can play through them alone, in the dark, or co-op with a friend.
