Daron Malakian (System Of A Down) will be recording the next Scars On Broadway album completely on his own, regardless of the fact that SoB has a full line-up. This means that Malakian will be tackling guitars, bass, drums, and vocals. Hard rock group Deftones have announced a Nov. 13th release date for their upcoming seventh studio album KOI NO YOKAN (loose Japanese translation: “The sense one can have upon first meeting a person that the two of you are going to fall in love”). The album was recorded with Nick Raskulinecz (Alice In Chains, Foo Fighters, Rush), who also produced 2010′s Diamond Eyes.
In a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly, singer Chino Moreno stated, “Obviously we’re an aggressive band – not the heaviest, but there’s a lot of attack. But there’s also this lush beauty that flows within everything that we do, and that’s my favorite part of the band. To me, it’s the epitome of what the Deftones do.”
The band will also be embarking on a headline tour with support coming from Scars On Broadway. Tour dates are below. READ MORE
