Whenever I see the cast of a Rob Zombie movie I think of the scene in BASEketball where the team’s owner has a collection of real-life stars, such as Kareem Abdul-Jabber, who sit in glass cases during business hours…

With day 17 underway, Rob Zombie continues to jam his The Lords of Salem cast with collectible names that you’d see at a local horror convention. This morning he revealed that he will once again be working with genre fav Sid Haig (House of 1,000 Corpses, The Devil’s Rejects, Halloween) who will play “Dean Magnus”, the other half of the witch finding duo known as “The Brothers.”

Sid is best known for cult classics like Spiderbaby, Coffy, Black Mama, White Mama, CC and Company and The Big Dollhouse.

And so it continues. The Hills Have Eyes star Michael Berryman is joining The Lords of Salem, which reteams him with The Devil’s Rejects director Rob Zombie.

’80s genre star Barbara Crampton – known for roles in Re-Animator, From Beyond, Castle Freak, Puppet Master and even Chopping Mall – has landed a role in The Lords of Salem, Rob Zombie’s small-town horror film that’s currently lensing for a release in 2012.

Crampton, who also plays a large role in the festival smash hit You’re Next (which rejuvenated her acting “bug” once again), will play “Virginia Cable”, a camera operator for a local kid’s show at Salem Public Access TV called “Lobster Joe’s Fishy Fun Show”.

Rob Zombie announced today via his official Facebook that Jeff Daniel Phillips – best known as the annoying Caveman in the Geico commercials – has joined the cast of The Lords of Salem, which begins lensing this fall from the producing team behind Insidious and Paranormal Activity.

Rob Zombie’s ‘The Lords’ Are Coming!

Casting is officially underway on Rob Zombie’s The Lords of Salem, and to get his fans excited he’s posted a new teaser one sheet on the rocker’s official Facebook. One person we know will be cast: Sheri Moon Zombie, not that-that’s all that surprising.

The story is about a local DJ who mistakenly unleashes a hellish curse on the town. 300 years earlier on the very streets of Salem that the townspeople walk on today, innocent folks were rounded up from their homes, convicted of being witches and sentenced to death.
