Chief Jim Hopper is playing a deadly game.
The official “Stranger Things” Twitter account has been having a whole lot of fun on the road to the Season 2 premiere, live-tweeting along with Season 1 episodes, sharing behind the scenes photos, and also showing off new art that plays up the hit Netflix series’ strong ties to the 1980s.
Every Thursday, a new poster for “Stranger Things” that’s inspired by an ’80s movie poster is unveiled, with the iconic posters for Stand by Me and A Nightmare on Elm Street so far being paid tribute to. A new piece of promo art hit their Twitter account today, this one directly inspired by 1987’s The Running Man.
Jim Hopper plays the role of Schwarzenegger’s Ben Richards for this fun poster.
The second season of “Stranger Things” hits Netflix on October 27.
