Allfather D’Aronique Revealed In “Preacher’s” Season 3 Teaser

AMC’s outrageous drama Preacher returns for 10 episodes on Sunday, June 24 at 10:00 PM ET/PT.

While several new characters have already been revealed, a new teaser gives us our first ever look at Jonny Coyne (The Nun) as Allfather D’Aronique! The cluelessly malevolent character is physically large, overweight, and a revolting slob, but also potentially the most powerful man in the world. He is quietly sinister with eyes that see more than he says.

Here are the other new additions:

Betty Buckley joined the cast as “Gran’ma” – A spiritist with true powers, who can cast spells and even bring back the dead (for a price). Pay the fee or pay with your soul to feed Gran’ma’s thirst for eternal youth. She is weathered, tough, and mean, but also intelligent beyond measure. She’s Jesse’s only living family and she loves him.

Colin Cunningham joins the cast as “TC” – A man born of the bayou and the loyal caretaker and soldier for Gran’ma. Weasely and wiry, he’ll gladly tell you about his perversions whether you ask him or not. While he seems like the friendliest guy you’ll ever meet, don’t make the mistake of turning your back on him.

Jeremy Childs joins the cast as “Jody” – Massive and intimidating, Jody emanates danger. He’s the enforcer for Gran’ma and the only man Jesse’s never beaten in a fight. He’s nobody’s fool, and not someone to cross.

Liz McGeever joins the cast as “Christina” – Capable and efficient, Christina has a face that lures customers in for her family business. Christina hides it well, but she hates her job and has dreams and aspirations outside of her current life – but suffers to protect her child.

In Season 2, “After Jesse accidentally discovered that God is absent from Heaven, Jesse, Tulip, and Cassidy set out on a road trip to find Him, all while being hunted by the Saint of Killers, an unstoppable, mythical killer from Hell. The trio’s pursuit led them to New Orleans, where they dodged local gangsters, dangerous agents, and other unimaginable mayhem on their way to uncovering an even bigger secret. Now, with Tulip’s life and Cassidy’s friendship in the balance, Jesse must rely on a mysterious figure from his past in order to save his friends and continue on with his mission.

Disney+ is bringing a mystery-thriller vibe to the Star Wars Universe with upcoming series “The Acolyte,” and a bloody official poster has been unleashed this morning.

Additionally, we’ve learned “Star Wars: The Acolyte” will premiere on June 4. Check out the official art below, which replaces a lightsaber beam with a streak of blood…

Bloody violence in the Star Wars Universe? It’s about time! The poster’s tagline reads, “In an age of light… a darkness rises.” Expect the show’s official trailer tomorrow, March 19.

Joining Amandla Stenberg (The Hate U Give) are Emmy Award-winner Lee Jung-jae (Squid Game), Manny Jacinto (Nine Perfect Strangers), Dafne Keen (His Dark Materials), Jodie Turner-Smith (Queen & Slim), Rebecca Henderson (Inventing Anna), Charlie Barnett (Russian Doll), Dean-Charles Chapman (1917), and Carrie-Anne Moss (The Matrix).

“The Acolyte” is a mystery-thriller that will take viewers into a galaxy of shadowy secrets and emerging dark-side powers in the final days of the High Republic era.

A former Padawan reunites with her Jedi Master to investigate a series of crimes, but the forces they confront are more sinister than they ever anticipated.

The High Republic saw the Jedi Order at its prime, centuries prior to the events of Star Wars: The Phantom Menace.

“The Acolyte” comes from creator, showrunner, and executive producer Leslye Headland (Russian Doll). The executive producers are Kathleen Kennedy, Simon Emanuel, Jeff F. King, and Jason Micallef. Rayne Roberts and Damian Anderson are producing.
