Official Website Launches for Hotly Anticipated Video Game ‘Call of Cthulhu’
We’re still waiting on the release date for Cyanide’s RPG investigation game Call of Cthulhu, which centers on a character named Edward Pierce and his efforts to piece together the mysterious death of a family on Darkwater Island near Boston, Massachusetts. As expected, cultists and one of the Great Old Ones begin to reveal themselves as Pierce digs deeper into the mystery.
The game was originally set to be released last year, but development delays have pushed it to this year. Ahead of E3, the official website for the game has launched, which indicates that more information, and that release date we’ve been waiting for, will be coming soon. In the meantime, you should bookmark and peruse the site.
In the game…
“Faced with terrors beyond human comprehension, you must delve deep into the secrets that lay beneath the surface of the Darkwater Island community. Speak with the island’s inhabitants, overcome deadly horrors and discover cryptic clues, in a desperate attempt to expose the terrible truth at the heart of the Hawkins case.
Investigation comes in many forms. Will you talk to characters to learn their secrets, or look around on your own? A friendly ally may provide a much-needed distraction or reveal a path to progress but picking a lock or stealing a key is equally viable. Despite his experience in the Great War, Pierce is not a fighter, and you will need to find solutions to your problems that don’t involve a fist fight or gunning down the inhabitants.”
Call of Cthulhu will be available for PlayStation 4, XBox One and PC.

LKA Delves Deeper Into the Horror of ‘When Sirens Fall Silent’ in New Presentation [Video]
During the Day of the Devs: Summer Game Fest Edition, publisher Wired Productions and developer LKA released a three-minute developer presentation for psychological horror game When Sirens Fall Silent, offering players a deeper look into the mystery, characters, and unsettling world of the upcoming psychological thriller.
Following two creative story-based cinematic reveals (which you can watch here and here) that introduced the game’s atmosphere, themes, and central mystery, LKA Founder and Director Luca Dalcò guides viewers further into the world of the forgotten people, revealing more of what awaits players as they uncover the truth behind a series of kidnappings and murders.
From the creators of Martha is Dead, When Sirens Fall Silent casts players as Mila, a policewoman in early 1990s Rome, Italy. Haunted by a past she’s desperate to escape, Mila is thrust into a high-profile case of kidnappings and murders. As the investigation unravels, you must not only save her from herself, but also from being consumed by the violence, mystery and confusion.
Featuring a branching, multi-layered narrative dialogue system, with a huge focus on verbal and emotional interaction, investigation and subsequent choices, players will be faced with difficult real-world topics. LKA aims to “pull no punches” with its story, but also hints at a few surprises along the way.
When Sirens Fall Silent is currently in development for PC via Steam, GOG, and the Epic Games Store.
