Bodycam Horror Game ‘Cursed Bet’ Puts You on the Run From a Cursed Doll [Trailer]

Published

on

We’ve mentioned a couple instances of “Bodycam horror” video games with Deppart and Haunted Memories: The Return. Solo developer Lightworker Games is now getting in on the fun with their recently-announced title Cursed Bet, which feels more like Deppart in terms of its creepy setting, but with the added touch of the Child’s Play series.

Currently in development on Steam, in Cursed Bet, you play as Davin. Davin is told a story by his friends about an abandoned preschool where horrific events were said to have taken place. The story goes that a doll in the preschool was cursed, causing it to come to life and proceed to wreak havoc, resulting in the school being closed. The rumour is that the cursed doll is still there, and that bad things happen to those who enter the school. Davin obviously doesn’t believe them, and enters the school on a dare, recording a video to prove them wrong. Of course, you know what happens next.

Along with finding clues and solving puzzles to piece together what went on in the school, you’ll also have to deal with the cursed doll itself. In other words, you’ll have to find a way to destroy it and break the curse. From the looks of the trailer, the pint-sized terror is fast, and coupled with the delightfully creepy atmosphere, this one has a lot of potential.

‘Little Nightmares III’ Delayed to 2025

Published

That announced 2024 release for Little Nightmares III is no more. Supermassive and Bandai Namco have announced that the game will be bumped to a 2025 release for PC via Steam, Xbox One, Xbox Series, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5.

“As much as we can’t wait for you to return to the Nowhere, we also want to make sure we give the game the care and love it deserves. Quality is a top priority for us, and we know you feel the same way,” reads the announcement. “For this reason, we’ve made the decision to shift the release of the game to 2025.”

The announcement did say that fans can expect more updates on Little Nightmares III “later this summer”.

This delay for Little Nightmares III comes after Supermassive had reportedly laid off 30 percent of its work force back in February. No word on if there will be a delay with regards to the developer’s other project, the collaboration with Behaviour Interactive on The Casting of Frank Stone, which is still slated to arrive later this year.

In Little Nightmares III, you follow the journey of Low and Alone, as they search for a path that could lead them out of the Nowhere. Trapped within the Spiral, a cluster of disturbing places, the two friends will have to work together to survive in a dangerous world full of delusions and escape the grasp of an even greater threat lurking in the shadows.
