Extended Gamescom Gameplay Clip for ‘ONTOS’ Released [Watch]

After giving fans a glimpse at the horrifying experiments within the Hotel Samsara last week during Gamescom, Frictional Games has released an extended version of the gameplay clip of ONTOS. This clip features an extended look at the experiment led by Crombie, a scientist drawn to Samsara in search of answers about the essence of one’s unique, individual self.

How that translates into a human mind and a server made up of live rats is anyone’s guess.

In ONTOS, you’ll find that exploration is key to discovery. Sectors are most conveniently reached via the Circular Gondola Transit. Board the gondola and navigate through the Lunar Hotel Samsara. Some of the occupants have set up security equipment like motion sensors and cameras – Bypass the equipment using whatever means are available.

Secrets of Hotel Samsara, and the people in it, are revealed to those who seek it. Information is readily available to you everywhere you look. Upon entering an office, you may notice that previous occupants have left things like notes or personal belongings scattered around. By using your tablet on the computer, you can extract data which allows you to read private messages between people in Hotel Samsara – potentially uncovering details that may shape your decisions later on.

Launching next year for PC via Steam and GOG, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series, ONTOS has you stepping into the shoes of Aditi Amani, a resourceful engineer, as she explores the repurposed Hotel Samsara in search of the truth around her estranged father. Players will scavenge for helpful items, manipulate intricate machinery and face intense tests of morality as they encounter horrific experiments throughout Samsara.
