Fans of CloverPit and that scene from Aliens are in luck with DEADBODY Games’ stabtastic roguelike 500 Finger Fillet. Originally slated for a November release, the horror roguelite will now launch on December 12th on Steam. And if you can’t wait that long, you can check out a brand new demo, featuring new knives, new endings, QOL improvements, and more.
The game is about being handcuffed to a hand-stabbing machine that won’t unlock itself until you’ve stabbed between your fingers (or into them) 500 times. Oh, and you have just 20 minutes on the clock to accomplish this feat. Will you make it out with all your fingers, or will you bleed out on the table?
Choose what the machine stabs you with next, from the dull Rusty Fork to the all-seeing Ritual Knife. You’ll earn money through stabbing your hand, which you can then spend on items and rings to improve your chances. However, each stab carries the risk of losing a finger and bleeding out. But at the same time, each stab brings you closer to freedom.
