[Video] ’80s Series ‘Aliens: Outbreak’ Becomes a Motion Comic With Voices and Sound!

Published by Dark Horse in ’88-’89, six-issue comic series Aliens was originally a 10-years-later sequel to the Aliens movie. The Mark Verheiden-penned mini-series initially centered on Hicks and Newt, who were later turned into new characters Wilks and Billie when Alien 3 came along and forced a new edit to be published: Aliens: Outbreak.

The comic books, originally black & white, were also colorized for the new edit.

All these years later, those Aliens: Outbreak comic books are being turned into a motion comic video series by StarForce Media and director Joe Cliff Thompson, with debut episode Aliens: Outbreak Episode 1 – Adrift making its way online this week.

In Aliens: Outbreak

“Battle-scarred Colonial Marine David Wilks and Billie, a traumatized young woman, were the only survivors of a horrific outbreak on the colony planet Rim ten years ago. Wilks has become a drunken, bitter shell of the brave and compassionate soldier he once was, while Billie has become institutionalized, reliving the nightmare every time she closes her eyes. When a new threat emerges, the two must come to terms with their past as Wilks is called into action once again.”
