As longtime readers may recall, Lonnie Nadler used to write for Bloody Disgusting before taking his talents to the comic industry. Now, he’s sharing a look at his brand new project, “Black Stars Above”, which will be available in shops on November 13, 2019!
Nadler tells us that he’s been calling it the “cosmic horror version of The Witch meets The Revenant.”
In the first issue:
“A young fur trapper flees her overbearing family only to get lost in a dreamlike winter wilderness that harbours a cosmic threat.
“The year is 1887 and a storm brews. Eulalie Dubois has spent her entire life tending to her family’s trapline, isolated from the world. A chance at freedom comes in the form of a parcel that needs delivering to a nameless town north of the wilderness. Little does Eulalie know, something sinister hides in those woods and it yearns for what she carries.”
Penned by Nadler (“The Dregs”, “Marvelous X-Men”), the art was done by debut artist Jenna Cha, with colors by Brad Simpson, and letters by Hassan Otsmane-Elhaou.
