We tend to fill screenings so we’ve been provided with a whopping 75 admit-two passes to see The Dark Tower here in Chicago next Wednesday, August 2, at the AMC River East 21 (322 E. Illinois St. Chicago, IL 60611).

The film is not a direct adaptation of any of the books in the series from author Stephen King but rather a “canon continuation” of the story presented in the novels.
The last Gunslinger, Roland Deschain (Idris Elba), has been locked in an eternal battle with Walter O’Dim, also known as the Man in Black (Matthew McConaughey), determined to prevent him from toppling the Dark Tower, which holds the universe together. With the fate of the worlds at stake, good and evil will collide in the ultimate battle. Fran Kranz, Jackie Earle Haley, Abbey Lee, and Kathryn Winnick also star.
The Dark Tower was directed by Nikolaj Arcel and produced by Akiva Goldman, Ron Howard, Brian Grazer, and Erica Hughes.
Look for it on August 4, 2017.
