2. Afterlife with Archie (Archie Comics)
A lot of people don’t immediately think of zombies as body horror because zombies are in a genre of their own. But they absolutely, unequivocally are body horror. Some of the traits of body horror include disease, decay, parasitism, mutilation, and mutation. Those first four mentioned deal heavily with zombies and zombie-like outbreaks. One of the best zombie comics out right now is Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa and Francesco Francavilla’s “Afterlife with Archie,” something that took us all by surprise last year but turned out to be absolutely magnificent.
