The Mist
This might seem like a strange choice at first but hear me out, okay? For being confined to a supermarket for pretty much the entire film, the movie had this strangely epic feel to it, the thought that the entire world was covered by this unearthly, terrifying mist a very real possibility.
But what makes this movie “badass” are the monsters. Holy FUCK are they awesome! Gigantic Lovecraftian mammoths, huge crablike creatures, absolutely horrifying spiders (seriously, those things gave me nightmares for weeks), and more. For horror fans, the creature designs in this movie were top notch!
