When it comes to horror movies, it’s kinda rare for something to really get under my skin and make it crawl. After all, having seen hundreds, if not thousands, of horror films over the course of my life, I’ve developed a rather thick skin that is capable of seeing eyes gouged, intestines pouring out of an open cavity, heads blown apart, and a whole slew of other horrible things.
But there are still some visuals that have this unending power to give me the heebie-jeebies like none other. These are scenes that make me cover my eyes, the ones that make me shudder and turn away. They’re rare but when they happen they’re damn effective.
