Caliban Murders Proteus
Caliban’s appearance was the twist at the end of “Séance,” and boy was it a good one. After bringing Proteus to life in the pilot, it is revealed in a clever way that Proteus is actually Victor’s second attempt at creating life. His first was Caliban, who is the real monster. In the final moments of the episode, Victor must watch as Caliban murders Proteus right before his eyes. It was the first big shock of the series, and it sticks with you long after you watch it.
