Today marks the release of the Poltergeist reboot, a film that our own Kalyn says is, “…pretty entertaining and frightening,” in her review. And while I haven’t yet seen it, the original is a classic in my eyes, a story that has withstood over three decades to remain one of the greatest horror films ever released.
One of the reasons I loved the original so much was the parents, Steve and Diane. They seemed so real and genuine, not afraid to be flawed, something that seems so rare now in films. And thinking about that led me to think of other great horror couples.
