The Thing
The movie is one of the greatest examples of how practical FX, if given proper attention, dedication, and respect, never really age. In fact, it becomes one of the highlights of the film, an aspect that is spoken about with reverence and fully deserved appreciation. Had Rob Bottin not been a part of this film, I strongly believe that it would have been forgotten in the passage of time.
