For many of us, the love of the horror genre started when we were quite young, sneaking up late to watch an episode of Tales From The Crypt, or reading through Schwartz and Gammell’s “Scary Stories To Tell In The Dark“. It was the love of participating in something that we knew was against the rules, which only made it all the more thrilling and risqué.
But there were also several things that aimed to add a little scare to a childhood title but perhaps might’ve gone a step or two too far. So, today I wanted to focus on the films that were meant for children but scared the hell out of us.
